Position details

Rooms and reservations

• Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible, and pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets.
• Organize check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Track room or checkout-change requests and communicate status to appropriate staff.
• Confirm reservations and cancellations, check duplicate reservations, and block rooms.
• Review out-of-order rooms daily and identify over-commitments.
• Ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions.
• Verify and adjust guest billing, secure valid payment, and activate room keys.
• Process check-ins and check-outs, file guest paperwork, and run daily reports.
• Follow up with guests about requests or problems and relay messages accurately.

Guest service and team standards

• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Coordinate with other departments, support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.

Physical requirements

• The role may require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Use computers and/or POS systems to enter and locate information.
