QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: General knowledge equivalent to high school education.
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Minimum 5 years experience in a aerospace manufacturing production environment with focus on understanding aerospace coating specifications. Read and understand blueprints, specifications, schematics.
  • Possess advanced leadership skills. Evaluate and resolve product, and process problems. Develop and build a strong team environment. Able to handle the demands of fast-paced production schedules. Good verbal, written, organization and communication skills. Good working knowledge of excel and word.
  • Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principals.
  • Able to productively handle multiple product mix and short run production schedules.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (bills of materials, routings, labor reporting, etc.)
  • Some engineering background or product trouble shooting evaluation skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • ISO9000/AS-9100 exposure.
  • PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS (What does the employee need to do to be successful?)
  • Manage and supervise all production requirements in the paint department.
  • Provide training and resources to produce 100% quality acceptance.
  • Meet or exceed schedules as provided by production planning.
  • Apply continuous improvement to processes on an ongoing basis to reduce production time.
  • Manage all resources (employees, space, tools, instructions, training and materials) in order to support production.
  • Manage and motivate workforce daily.
  • Delegate workload to employees in accordance with their skills daily.
  • Execute department performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain department training/cross training.
  • Use coaching, training and Continuous Improvement to create a supportive team daily.
  • Develop and maintain a “can do” with a sense of urgency attitude from direct reports.

  • Compensation Pay Range
  • $90,000 - $110,000 Annually
