The employer is seeking an experienced oven baker for its food production team.
The role prepares and bakes manakish and other bakery products while maintaining consistent quality and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake manakish and other bakery items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare dough, toppings, fillings, and ingredients for daily production.
- Operate and monitor commercial ovens safely and efficiently.
- Monitor baking temperatures and cooking times; ensure required texture, appearance, and quality.
- Maintain consistent portion sizes and product presentation.
- Prepare the oven and baking area before production.
- Clean the oven, equipment, and work area and follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures.
- Store ingredients correctly and minimize food waste.
- Support the kitchen team during busy production periods and complete other bakery-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an oven baker, bakery worker, manakish baker, or in a similar role.
- Practical experience with commercial ovens and bakery production.
- Experience preparing manakish or similar flatbread products is preferred.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy food production environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
