OTC Lead /Project Accounting Lead

Why this role matters?

As the Global Group Financial Project Billing Lead, you will support ERM's global delivery by leading Project Accounting, Master Data Management, and Billing operations from the Global Delivery Centre (GDC).

You will work within the Finance function, partnering with Finance Project Partners (FPPs), project teams, and global stakeholders across regions to ensure accurate project setup, timely billing, and effective financial management.

This role is critical to driving operational excellence, improving working capital performance, ensuring billing accuracy, and supporting ERM's financial growth objectives at a global scale.

· Deliver accurate and timely project setup, master data maintenance, and billing activities to support global business operations.

· Improve working capital performance by driving timely invoicing, WIP management, and billing resolution.

· Ensure compliance with ERM policies, financial controls, and project accounting standards.

· Serve as a trusted escalation point for complex billing and project accounting issues, enabling efficient issue resolution.

· Build a high-performing delivery team through coaching, development, and performance management.

· Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and continuous improvement across Project Accounting and Billing processes.

What will you bring?

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

· 8-12 years of experience in Project Accounting, Billing, Order-to-Cash, or Finance Operations within a professional services environment.

· Strong knowledge of project accounting, project lifecycle management, billing processes, and revenue-related controls.

· Experience leading and developing teams in a shared services, global delivery, or finance operations environment.

· Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across multiple geographies and organizational levels.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on operational excellence.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with project accounting, ERP, or billing systems.

· Ability to prioritize competing demands, manage escalations, and deliver results within established timelines.

Preferred qualifications, skills & competencies

· CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

· Experience supporting global consulting, engineering, or professional services organizations.

· Exposure to global delivery center or shared service operating models.

· Experience driving process improvement, automation, and operational transformation initiatives.

· Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, and finance system optimization projects.
