Overview

Key Responsibilities

• **Clinical Care:** Diagnose, evaluate, and treat all types of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, tumors, and congenital disorders.
• **Surgical Procedures:** Perform a variety of orthopedic surgeries, which may include joint replacement (arthroplasty), arthroscopic procedures, trauma surgery, spine surgery (if specialized), and pediatric orthopedics (if specialized).
• **Patient Management:** Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, manage post-operative care, and oversee rehabilitation plans.
• **Collaboration:** Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including radiologists, and general practitioners, to ensure holistic patient care.
• **Quality & Safety:** Adhere strictly to the highest standards of medical ethics, hospital policies, and Qatar's Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations.
• **Education:** Participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and medical education activities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• **Education:** MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• **Specialization:** Completion of a recognized residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
• **Board Certification:** Recognized Specialist certification
• **Licensure:** Must possess a valid medical license from the country of origin and be eligible for registration/licensure by the **Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP)**.
• **Experience:**
• **Consultant Level:** Minimum of 5 years of post-board certification experience.
• **Specialist Level:** Minimum of 3 years of post-board certification experience.
• **Regional Experience:** **A minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly preferred.** This demonstrates familiarity with regional patient demographics, healthcare systems, and common pathologies.
• **Language:** Fluency in verbal and written English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
