Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orthodontic consultations and clinical examinations.
• Diagnose dental and skeletal malocclusions using clinical and radiographic findings.
• Formulate individualized orthodontic treatment plans.
• Provide orthodontic treatments including:
• Fixed metal and ceramic braces
• Self-ligating systems
• Clear aligner therapy
• Removable and functional appliances
• Retainers and post-treatment care
• Monitor treatment progress and perform necessary appliance adjustments.
• Interpret cephalometric analyses, panoramic radiographs, CBCT scans, and digital intraoral scans.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records in accordance with DHA standards.
• Educate patients regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, oral hygiene, and appliance maintenance.
• Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists for multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols, patient safety standards, and ethical clinical practice.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.

Minimum Qualifications (Dha Requirements)

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), DDS, or DMD from a recognized university.
• **Master's Degree (MDS/MS) or equivalent recognized Specialty Qualification in Orthodontics** from a recognized institution.
• **Valid DHA Specialist Orthodontist License or DHA Eligibility Letter**.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Good standing certificate from the most recent licensing authority (if applicable).
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum **3 years of post-qualification clinical experience** as a Specialist Orthodontist.
• Experience with digital orthodontics, intraoral scanners, and clear aligner systems.
• Strong diagnostic, treatment planning, and case presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
