Order Picker associates fulfill store and delivery orders and are part of the Service Desk team.
The work includes gathering merchandise, packing and labeling orders, staging them for pickup or delivery, and handling basic customer order transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Prioritize pick lists and gather the required products throughout the store using the Order Fulfillment Application.
- Pack and label orders to prevent damage, and place them in designated holding areas until dispatch.
- Load delivery vehicles and take curbside orders to customers while following safety regulations.
- Greet, engage, and thank customers; handle basic POS sales, returns, and customer calls.
- Read COM orders and system notes; follow safety and loss prevention policies.
- Move freight safely between staging areas and overhead storage using appropriate equipment.
Qualifications and skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of retail or distribution experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of operating reach trucks and order picker machines is an asset.
- Physical work includes walking, standing, bending, lifting, moving bulky items, and climbing ladders up to 12–16 feet.
Schedule and working conditions
- Flexible schedule may include overnight shifts, evenings, and weekends.
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment that may be dusty and noisy, with forklift fumes, drafts, and temperature changes.
Pay
- The stated pay range is $20.35–$22.10; no pay cadence is specified.
