Oracle Retail XStore & SIOCS Techno-Functional Analyst
to join one of our major clients based in
Jeddah, KSA.
Role Summary
The Techno-Functional Analyst bridges business, QA, and development, supporting functional analysis, test execution, defect triage, and developments/configuration for Oracle XStore POS (v21 and above), SIOCS v23+ and Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS).
This role is critical for quality assurance, requirement clarity, and faster issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand POS, inventory, and retail data flows
- Prepare functional specs, test cases, and scenarios
- Execute and support SIT / UAT
- Validate transaction, inventory, and financial data in RDS
- Perform defect triage and root cause analysis
- Support data reconciliation between POS, SIOCS, and RDS
- Assist developers with functional and data clarifications
- Support Go-Live and Hypercare
- Develop SOPs to ease user journey (Business and IT)
- Oracle SR Management.
Required Skills & Experience
- Oracle XStore POS functional knowledge (Sales, returns, tenders, EOD processes, Promotions and Pricing)
- Oracle SIM / SIOCS Technical / functional processes (Configuration, Foundation, Transfers, Operational Reports, MPS Messages, Web Services, Role Setup, Printers, Receiving, Inventory adjustments, Stock counts etc.)
- Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) – reporting and validation using APEX or Oracle available tool.
- Strong SQL for data validation
- Understanding of XML / JSON
- Ability to read Java code (no heavy coding)
- Understanding of order modern integration technologies like Webhook, Rest APIs etc.
- POS / SIOCS testing experience (SIT / UAT)
- Defect management tools (JIRA, etc.)
- Regression testing for POS / SIOCS systems
- 6–8 years Oracle Retail / POS and SIM14+ / SIOCS experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Strong functional understanding with technical exposure
- Retail domain knowledge is added advantage (Sales, returns, voids, refunds, Tender handling, Promotions and discounts, Inventory movements and adjustments)
