Job Summary:
The Oracle Cloud (OCI) & Fusion Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Fusion applications. This includes system administration, security, performance tuning, integrations, and ensuring high availability of cloud services. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
Key Responsibilities:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Cloud Console Management:
-
Migrate, Manage and support EBS and databases on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Provision, configure, and manage resources on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform, including tenancy setup, Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) configuration, compartments, compute instances, storage, networking security, and databases (ATP, ADW).

Provisioning and support of FAW instance.

Configure networking (VCN, subnets, gateways, security lists, NSGs)
-
Monitor cloud resources using OCI monitoring and logging tools
-
Manage identity and access (IAM policies, compartments, users, groups)
-
Configuring and managing single sing on (SSO) with AD and third-party applications.
-
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
-
Implement and maintain security controls and compliance measures in accordance with OCI best practices and organizational requirements.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCI resources, including connectivity, performance, and access controls.

understanding of monitoring, logging, audit and alerting capabilities

Perform database migrations, backups, and other essential tasks within the OCI environment.

Support hybrid environments and participate in cloud migration initiatives.

Troubleshoot OCI-related issues and ensure seamless integration with on-premises systems.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Administrator
-
Manage Oracle Fusion Cloud environments (ERP, HCM, SCM)
-
Handle user provisioning, roles, and security configurations
-
Monitor scheduled jobs and ESS (Enterprise Scheduler Service)
-
Manage quarterly patching and updates from Oracle Corporation
-
Maintain audit controls and compliance
-
Administer and maintain Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to maintain security and compliance.
-
Work closely with application developers and other stakeholders to support Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP-related needs.

Implement security best practices (LBAC, SSO, etc.) and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Communicate effectively with Oracle support and other external vendors as needed.

Oracle EBS Administration:
-
Manage Oracle EBS environments, including backups, cloning, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
-
Work with Fusion Middleware components (OAM, OID, OTM, Demantra, ECC) and understand DMZ architecture and secure integration (SOAP/REST web services).

Provide proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and on-call support in production and pre-production environments.
-
Ensure smooth change management processes, including patch analysis,
implementation planning, and execution of approved fixes.
-
Provide support for Oracle SRs and ensure timely issue resolution.
-
Support and Maintenance of Oracle EBS on Oracle DRCC (Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer)

Oracle Database Management:
-
Maintenance of Oracle (11g and above) databases to ensure high availability, optimal performance and security management.

Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery tasks for Oracle databases.
-
Monitor and optimize database performance, implement optimizations, and ensure high availability for Oracle databases.
-
Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement tuning best practices.
-
Manage Oracle RAC, including cloning, backup & recovery, and system performance enhancements.
-
Others:
-
Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
-
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
-
Work with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting for task automation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Oracle Cloud and Fusion administrator and good experience on Oracle EBS 12.x Apps DBA.
- Experience in Oracle cloud applications auditing, monitoring and tuning techniques.
- Solid understanding of database backup, cloning, maintenance and recovery strategies, particularly with Oracle.
- Familiarity with monitor cloud resources using OCI monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience with automation tools and scripts to streamline administration tasks.
- Knowledge of database security practices and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communicator with the ability to handle stakeholder interactions.
- Able to work independently and within teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of shell scripting, oci command line interface.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Middleware and WebLogic Server.
Certifications:
- Oracle DBA and/or OCI certifications are preferred.
