Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Oracle Developer role based in Doha, Qatar.
The Oracle Developer will design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications that support core retail and back-office operations.
Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business requirements, creating and optimizing database objects, developing Oracle Reports, and building ETL processes to integrate data from multiple systems.
The role also involves troubleshooting performance issues, implementing fixes and enhancements, performing unit and integration testing, and preparing technical documentation.
The Oracle Developer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure stable, secure, and scalable database solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong database skills, including Databases and Data Modeling, to design and manage efficient, scalable schemas.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Reports for building, maintaining, and optimizing operational and management reports.
- Practical experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes for data integration, cleansing, and migration.
- Proficiency in Software Development using Oracle technologies (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports or similar tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in retail or similar high-volume transaction environments is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills in English; additional language skills relevant to the region are a plus.
