Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site DevOps Engineer role based in Doha, Qatar.
The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support retail and enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
include managing servers and environments, automating provisioning and configuration, and monitoring system performance and availability.
The role involves implementing and optimizing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, collaborating closely with software development, operations, and security teams.
The DevOps Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability, and document processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong system administration and Linux skills, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience with continuous integration and related tooling to build, test, and deploy applications efficiently and reliably.
- Software development experience to write scripts, automation utilities, and integrations that support DevOps workflows.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and incident management in production environments.
- Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, major public clouds) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in retail or enterprise environments, and awareness of security and compliance best practices, is beneficial.
