Job purpose
Deliver high-quality optical services and drive sales through accurate recommendations, customer service, insurance handling, and error-free product delivery.
Customer service and sales
- Identify customer needs and recommend frames, lenses, contact lenses, or sunglasses.
- Drive conversion, upselling, cross-selling, and promotions; achieve individual sales targets and support store performance.
- Deliver a professional customer journey, handle enquiries and complaints, and build customer loyalty.
Optical services and order quality
- Read and interpret prescriptions accurately; fit contact lenses according to standards.
- Select and dispense products correctly; verify prescriptions, lens specifications, and frame alignment.
- Check orders for defects and customer-order accuracy, and resolve issues before handover.
Transactions, stock, and teamwork
- Process POS transactions and handle insurance approvals and invoicing, including Wassel / NPHIES.
- Follow policies and procedures for ethical customer and insurance handling.
- Maintain stock accuracy, product safety, and product knowledge; report shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
- Work with colleagues toward store targets, share product knowledge, and maintain professional conduct.
Qualifications and experience
- 2–5 years of optical retail experience.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Optics or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written English and Arabic.
- SCFHS license or certification.
Skills and abilities
- Strong sales and customer service skills; understanding of insurance and POS systems.
- Ability to read prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing.
- Attention to detail and quality-control mindset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and achieve targets.
- Team-oriented and accountable, with a positive attitude and basic inventory and stock-control knowledge.
