Role Overview
- SAP SD S/4HANA Consultant will be responsible for
- designing and implementing end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes in a Greenfield S/4HANA program
- , using a
- fit-to-standard approach
- , driving process standardization, and building a scalable, clean-core digital core.
- Greenfield programs focus on:
- New system setup (no legacy carryover)
- Standardized global template design
- Process re-engineering and transformation
1. Solution Design & Consulting
- Lead
- business blueprinting, requirement gathering, and solution design workshops
- for SD/OTC processes
- Drive
- fit-to-standard and best practice-based S/4HANA solutions
- aligned with business objectives
- Perform
- gap analysis and recommendations
2. SAP SD Configuration & Implementation
- Configure core SD areas:
- Sales order management (order types, item categories, schedule line categories etc)
- Pricing & condition techniques (Condition tables, access sequence, Condition types and Pricing procedure configuration)
- Billing & invoicing (Billing type, invoice list, account determination configuration)
- Output & delivery processes (Delivery types, Routes and delivery related configurations)
- Execute:
- Configuration, unit testing, integration testing, UAT support
- Data migration & validation activities
3. Order-to-Cash (OTC) Process Ownership
- Lead end-to-end OTC lifecycle:
- Inquiry → Quote → Order → Delivery → Billing → Payment
- Should have working exposure of working on all SD major processes like Third party processing , intercompany, Consignment sales etc.
- Ensure standardization across geographies in global rollouts
4. Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with:
• MM (Procurement & Inventory)
- FI (Accounting & Revenue recognition)
- PP / EWM / TM for logistics execution
- Ensure seamless
- end-to-end business process integration
5. Implementation Lifecycle Expertise
- Work across full lifecycle:
- Discover / Assess → Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Hypercare → Support
- Support:
- Cutover planning
- Go-live execution
- Hypercare & stabilization
6. S/4HANA Innovations & Enhancements
- Implement:
- Business Partner approach
- SAP S4 HANA related innovations for SD module.
- Settlement management (replacing rebates)
- BRF+ based outputs
- Fiori applications & analytics
7. Stakeholder & Delivery Management (Lead Role)
- Act as:
• SD Track Lead / Solution Architect
- Client-facing consultant
- Manage:
- Offshore-onsite coordination
- Stakeholder workshops & design discussions
Functional
- Strong expertise in:
• Pricing, Billing, Delivery, Output
- Deep knowledge of:
- Global rollouts & template design
- Localization requirements
Technical / S/4 Specific
- S/4HANA innovations:
- BP model, FSCM, Settlement Management
- Integration knowledge across MM, FI, PP, EWM and working exposure of EDI/ IDOCS and interfaces.
Consulting Skills
- Client interaction & stakeholder management
- Requirement analysis & solution articulation
� Typical Experience Requirement
- 12–18 + years SAP SD experience (Lead role)
- Multiple
- end-to-end S/4HANA implementations & rollouts
- Strong exposure to
- global clients and multi-country deployments
