Job Purpose
The Officer – Quality Control is responsible for supporting the developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes to ensure compliance with company standards, aviation regulations, and industry best practices.
This role focuses on monitoring cargo operations, conducting audits, and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Job Accountabilities
- Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, aviation regulations (IATA, ICAO, GACA), and industry best practices.
- Assists the review and verify the accuracy of quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and compliance records.
- Support the evaluation and monitoring of supplier performance, ensuring that third-party service providers and vendors meet company quality and safety standards.
- Assist in analyzing customer feedback and service quality metrics, proactively addressing concerns to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support in ensuring full compliance with national and international regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on audit findings, quality assessments, and corrective actions to senior management.
- Regularly inspect and monitor cargo handling processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Collect and analyze operational performance data, quality metrics, and compliance reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist in providing training and support to staff on quality control procedures, safety regulations, and best practices to foster a culture of quality.
- Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, and OCC teams to ensure quality standards are embedded into all aspects of cargo handling.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Support investigating quality-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards, conducting audits and assessments as required.
- Verify operational invoices (e.g., block hours, HOTAC, catering, landing, overflight, and other operational charges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Equivalent
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the same or similar field.
