Backlink Campaign Planning and Outreach

• Build quarterly link plans for target pages and keyword clusters, including anchor text, target-page distribution, and natural link velocity.
• Run competitor link-gap analysis in Ahrefs or Semrush and tier prospects by acquisition approach.
• Commission and promote linkable assets, including survey data, calculators, statistics pages, and templates.
• Maintain a prospect database with owner, status, last contact, and outcome.
• Prospect and verify contacts and write targeted outreach with a clear request.
• Manage replies, negotiate paid placements, follow up until links are live, and track outreach performance.
• Build presence in software roundups, comparison articles, review platforms, subreddits, Quora, LinkedIn, and HR forums.
• Maintain accurate brand information and correct outdated third-party pricing, feature, and comparison content.
• Monitor AI search citations and report content, schema, structure, and llms.txt gaps to the SEO lead.
• Improve LLM citation visibility through backlinks, directories, review sites, and communities.
• Manage directory and review-site listings for consistent brand representation.
• Audit link gains, losses, spam exposure, 404 links, and redirect chains, and maintain performance reporting.

What You Need to Have

• 3–4 years of off-page SEO, link building, or outreach experience, in-house or agency-side.
• Strong written English for high-volume outreach.
• Hands-on Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz experience and familiarity with Google Search Console.
• Cold email experience at volume and knowledge of deliverability fundamentals.
• Examples of live links personally built and an explanation of how they were secured.

Nice to Have

• Experience in B2B SaaS or HR technology.
• Outreach experience with US, UK, or GCC audiences.
• Experience with Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Instantly, Smartlead, or a similar outreach platform.
• Experience tracking AI search visibility using Peec, Profound, Otterly, or a manual prompt log.
