Nursing Intern

Provides quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC.

Supports the mission, philosophy and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.

Assistant with total patient care under the direction of the RN

Promotes patient safety

Promotes and supports an organized work environment

Other duties as assigned

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be currently enrolled in nursing school and have completed the first clinical semester course (Nursing Fundamentals).

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :

Current CPR certification and Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required.

If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months.

CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon.

Normal basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
