Qualifications
- Education: • Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited RN nursing program • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course • Completion of the first round of clinical rotations in full • Must be within the final one to two academic terms of the nursing program (graduating year) Experience: • None required Certifications: • Required: AHA BLS Additional Eligibility Information: • This is a department specific position and is not a float role • Nursing students who are not yet in their graduating year should apply to the Nurse Extern I (float pool) position instead

Responsibilities
- The Nurse Extern II provides patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, and communicating significant observations to the RN, within established scope and guidelines.
