NOC Analyst

Role overview

Support duties

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a multi-customer NOC environment.
• Work with ticketing and monitoring systems; respond to alerts, take action, and escalate as needed.
• Support networking, security, virtualization, patching, servers and storage, and public-cloud services.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot, repair, or replace hardware.

Operations duties

• Follow ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Administer network devices, security appliances, servers, storage, hypervisors, and cloud environments.
• Document and update technical procedures, administrative processes, and the configuration management database.
• Patch customer environments.

Must-have qualifications

• Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems.
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, networking, storage, and basic security technology.
• Ability to complete security clearances.
• College or university technical training, equivalent industry experience of 1–2 years, or technical certifications from industry vendors such as CCNA or MCT.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Nice-to-have qualification

• Bilingual English and French is nice to have.

Schedule

• Rotating 12-hour shifts to cover 24/7 operations.

Compensation

• Posted annual pay range is $67,000–$92,600, depending on experience and skill set.
• Salary range is based on a 40-hour workweek; payroll is bi-weekly.
