Job Summary
We are seeking a Cisco Network Engineer to join our IT team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Cisco-based network infrastructure across the organization.
This role requires a strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, security, and wireless systems, to ensure reliable and secure network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- configure, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Implement and support network security policies using Cisco security devices , Manage DNAC.
- Monitor network performance using tools like Cisco Prime, NetFlow, and SNMP, and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for internal use and compliance.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems.
- Provide on-call support for network-related incidents and ensure rapid resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry best practices, and recommend improvements to the network infrastructure.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP, Layer 3 switching), and network security.
- Experience with Cisco security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and identity services (ISE).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco devices using CLI and Cisco Configuration Professional.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher certification.
- Experience with wireless networking (Cisco Aironet, WLC, MSE).
- -Good to have Experience with network automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Python.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network architectures will be advantageous
