Manage and operate SDN, enterprise networking, and SDS infrastructure supporting business-critical BSS applications.
Hands-on experience across networking, network security, and storage is sought, ideally in telecoms or a similarly complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer SDN platforms such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, OpenDaylight, or equivalent.
- Manage enterprise LAN switching and WAN routing.
- Configure firewalls and administer F5 and Nginx load balancers.
- Manage Ceph, ScaleIO/PowerFlex, or equivalent SDS platforms.
- Configure VLANs, BGP, OSPF, segmentation, firewall policies, ACLs, NAT, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and storage I/O; troubleshoot layer 2 network and storage incidents.
- Plan network and storage capacity and support disaster recovery and failover tests.
- Maintain topology diagrams and storage documentation.
- Coordinate complex incident resolution and firmware upgrades with L3 teams and vendors.
- Execute infrastructure changes through change management processes.
- Support OpenStack Neutron, Cinder, and Manila networking and storage components.
- Use Ansible for network configuration and storage provisioning automation.
Required skills and experience
- Five to eight years of IT network and storage administration experience.
- Strong SDN knowledge, ideally Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or equivalent.
- Enterprise networking experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and/or HP equipment.
- Experience with Ceph, ScaleIO/PowerFlex, or equivalent SDS technology.
- Strong understanding of VLANs, BGP, and OSPF.
- Network security knowledge covering firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and segmentation.
- Understanding of FC, iSCSI, NFS, and S3 storage protocols.
- Strong network and storage troubleshooting capability.
- Good written and spoken English.
Nice-to-have skills
- Telecoms/BSS infrastructure experience; OpenStack Neutron, Cinder, and Manila; Ansible automation; ELK monitoring; Active Directory-integrated network authentication; IAM/PAM tools; Commvault integration; or CCNP/equivalent certification are nice to have.
