Full-time, on-site Network Field Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi, supporting and maintaining network infrastructure at client locations.
The role includes installing, configuring, and monitoring network equipment to provide stable and secure connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for optimal performance and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; respond to network issues and outages.
- Configure and upgrade networks, support project deployments, and assist with capacity planning, scalability, and redundancy.
- Document network topology, IP addresses, and configurations; maintain, optimize, and improve existing systems.
- Conduct system checks and performance evaluations, and stay informed about networking technologies.
- Provide hands-on support, preventive maintenance, and assistance with upgrades and migrations.
- Travel to client sites within the UAE for installation, troubleshooting, and support.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with network monitoring; experience configuring and troubleshooting networks; understanding of network security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- A valid driving license and own car are required for client-site travel.
Preferred certifications
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or another relevant certification is preferred.
