Network Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and govern LAN/WAN architecture, including design validation, lifecycle management, and performance optimization
• Oversee SD-WAN, ISP, and FedNet connectivity, ensuring stable and secure external communications
• Operate and maintain data center network layers (core, distribution, and access) with high reliability
• Administer network security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and NAC solutions
• Implement and enforce network segmentation and Zero Trust security models
• Optimize wireless network infrastructure, ensuring coverage, capacity, and performance standards
• Ensure high availability (HA) through redundancy, failover mechanisms, and load balancing strategies
• Manage firmware upgrades, patching cycles, and vulnerability remediation across network devices
• Maintain network configuration backups and version control for audit and recovery purposes
• Conduct capacity planning and bandwidth utilization analysis to support future growth
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for complex network incidents and implement preventive measures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network operations
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Routing & switching (L2/L3 technologies)
• SD-WAN technologies
• Network security solutions (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC)
• Wireless technologies and controllers
• Solid understanding of:

• Zero Trust Architecture

• Network segmentation strategies
• High availability and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning tools
• Knowledge of configuration management and backup solutions

• Cisco (CCNA And CCNP And CCIE)

• Fortinet (NSE certifications)

• Palo Alto (PCNSE)

• Aruba / Wireless certifications
