The role seeks a hands-on Network Technician experienced in structured cabling, copper and fiber optic networks, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optic cabling; pull, dress, label, and manage cables.
- Install and terminate RJ45, patch panels, racks, ODF/LIU, and fiber enclosures.
- Perform fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and Fluke testing.
- Install and connect switches, routers, access points, and other network equipment.
- Troubleshoot copper, fiber, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Work in MDF/IDF rooms, data centers, offices, and commercial sites; maintain installation quality, documentation, and site safety.
Requirements
- ITI or diploma in IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience; the posting separately specifies 2 years as an ELV Technician.
- Good knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and basic networking.
- Experience with Fluke, OTDR, power meter, and related testing tools is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; good communication skills in English.
- UAE experience and a driving licence are described as advantageous in one section; the License/Certification section separately marks a UAE driving licence required.
