About The Job
- We are looking for an ambitious and talented individual to work on key Net Revenue Management (NRM) business reporting and analysis, supporting the UOQ lead for NRM whilst leveraging close working relationships with the Sales, Marketing, Category and commercial Finance teams.
- The Net Revenue Management (NRM) team is accountable, supported by the Sales and Marketing teams, for improving price realisation, optimising trade spend and promotional effectiveness.
- Success will be defined as NRM initiatives having a demonstrable and sustainable positive impact on the P&L of the business.
- In this role, you will
- Set up NRM strategy and contracting processes across commercial functions to align with targets, utilizing all the levers of NRM (Brand pricing strategy, Pack Price Architecture, Portfolio-, channel-, customer-, and promotional mix.
- Build on and populate a suite of NRM specific tools, which will be the foundation of the NRM plan. You will use the outputs with the NRM and wider teams to generate initial insight and directions, e.g. profit pool, price curves and price ladders and assortment analysis
- Establish management information and reporting solutions that provide visibility of progress versus NRM plan and KPIs, which is delivered in regular updates to the leadership team as well as the sales & marketing leadership teams. You will design and maintain an appropriate suite of reports that can guide the commercial teams and be used as the basis for financial targets and monthly NRM reporting to help budget owners feel and demonstrate real accountability for delivery
- Support on initiatives that deliver against business, brand and customer targets
- Support joint value creation conversations with our Customers by grounding our thinking in driving value for Arla, our Customers and their shoppers
- Support the Senior Managers in market with their priorities and ad hoc projects or tasks
- Train the Arla commercial teams in NRM philosophies, tools and executional tactics to build capability across the wider organization.
- Continue to develop and improve the application of NRM principles, constantly evolving and identifying new pockets of growth.
- While your main responsibility is UAE, you will also contribute to strengthening the foundation of NRM across UAE business by supporting improvements to NRM tools, systems, and ways of working
Skillset
- Proven track record of defining and delivering commercially oriented strategies and projects.
- Strong analytical skills utilizing data from various sources to provide insight and clear recommendations to make the correct data led decisions. Strong Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint knowledge
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills both in English
- Executive presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions with senior stakeholders covering market leadership teams
- Strong commercial experience and financial acumen, an understanding of the P&L the factors driving this and how to influence and build growth
- Highly numerate with excellent problem-solving skills, you display a growth mindset looking to find and implement solutions
- Able to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously
- Highly independent in thinking and framing problems, combined with a strong can do mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal resources
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders in the organization and influence them to drive NRM strategy and priorities
- Strong Excel, Power BI and presentation skills
Experience You Have
- 3-5 years in commercial role (Category Management/NRM, sales, finance or similar) with P&L responsibility, with knowledge of pricing disciplines and tools (strategic pricing, promo, PPA)
- Candidates from a management consulting background or pricing specialists will also be considered
- Sector FMCG or Grocery Retail background
- Graduate, from a reputable University
