Overview
- We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Consultant Neonatologist to join our team.
- In this key role, you will provide expert consultation and clinical care to newborns who are critically ill or who require specialized attention in our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- You will work closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes for our patients and support their families through challenging times.
- Your responsibilities include:
- Providing expert clinical assessments and recommendations for newborns in need of specialized care
- Overseeing the management of critically ill neonates, including those with complex medical conditions
- Collaborating with pediatricians and other specialists to develop comprehensive, individualized care plans
- Educating and mentoring junior medical staff and healthcare providers in best practices for neonatal care
- Communicating effectively with families about their newborn's condition, treatment options, and progress
- Engaging in clinical research projects and initiatives to improve neonatal care practices
- Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to quality improvement efforts
Requirements
- DM DrNB degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a Pediatric residency and fellowship training in Neonatology
- Board certification in Neonatology is required
- Active medical license in the relevant state
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Neonatologist preferred
- Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Commitment to continued professional development and education in neonatal medicine
