Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with orthopedic conditions through clinical examination and diagnostic tools
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans incorporating surgical and non-surgical interventions
• Perform orthopedic surgeries with a focus on precision, safety, and patient outcome
• Lead postoperative care and coordinate rehabilitation efforts for optimal recovery
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistically managed patient care
• Keep abreast of medical developments and contribute to ongoing education and training
• Ensure detailed documentation and adherence to medical and ethical standards

Requirements

• Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Completion of formal residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
• At least 5 years of experience as an orthopaedic surgeon, preferably at a consultant level
• Comprehensive knowledge of musculoskeletal disorders and treatment modalities
• Excellent surgical skills with proven experience in a range of procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team collaboration
• Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex cases
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus
