Mud Engineer

Our client, a leading global oil & gas services company, is anticipating upcoming project activity and is seeking an experienced Mud Engineer to join its operations in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and optimizing drilling fluid systems to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. Key duties include maintaining mud properties, providing technical support at the rig site, preparing daily reports, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and collaborating closely with drilling and wellsite teams to maximize well performance. Applicants should have a minimum of 6 years of proven mud engineering experience in onshore and/or offshore drilling operations, strong technical knowledge of drilling fluid systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced field environment. A valid Saudi Iqama is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work on rotational schedules across Saudi Arabia. Previous experience as a Mud Engineer on offshore and/or onshore drilling projects, a minimum of 6 years Strong knowledge of drilling fluid systems and solids control Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate with client representatives Valid industry certifications and medicals preferred Willingness to work rotational schedules in remote locations This is a potential upcoming requirement, and suitable candidates may be contacted as project details are confirmed.
