The Monitor Tech is responsible for observing and interpreting patient cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff, and maintaining telemetry supplies. They also document patient conditions, may orient new staff, and follow safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation Reporting Abnormalities Telemetry Supply Management Patient Safety Professionalism Communication Training and Support Compliance Qualifications: Basic Arrhythmia Recognition Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment OTHER-fingerprinting required Excellent communication skills High school diploma/GED preferred Hospital experience desired Benefits
