Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in open-cast limestone mining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role overseeing mining teams. Key Differentiating Skills: Practical knowledge of drilling, blasting, excavation, and hauling operations. Strong understanding of DGMS rules, safety management, and statutory compliance. Ability to supervise and motivate mining teams effectively. Problem-solving and operational planning skills. Communication skills for coordination with internal teams and contractors. Internal Stakeholders: Mines Manager, Blasting Foreman, Mining Mates, Crushing, Production, and Maintenance teams. Nature of Interactions: Coordinate day-to-day mining operations and workforce allocation. Support production planning and equipment utilization. External Stakeholders: DGMS, IBM, Mining contractors, Local authorities. Nature of Interactions: Ensure compliance during inspections and audits. Liaise with external stakeholders for statutory requirements and operational support. Position is Accountable For: Safe and compliant execution of daily mining operations. Achievement of production targets and quality standards. Implementation of safety and operational protocols. Supervision and development of mining team. Freedom to Act: Acts independently in day-to-day operations within the limits of Mines Manager’s instructions. Major operational decisions and budget approvals are escalated to Mines Manager. Department KPIs (Objectives): Daily and monthly limestone production targets met. Zero safety incidents. Compliance with DGMS, statutory, and environmental requirements. Efficient utilization of manpower and equipment.
