Full-time, on-site Midwife role based at Phoenix Hospital in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
Provides care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period, following clinical protocols and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct antenatal assessments and monitor maternal and fetal well-being.
- Support safe childbirth and administer appropriate medications and interventions within scope of practice.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families on birth plans, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
- Maintain clinical documentation and follow hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement and promote patient safety, respect, and dignity.
Qualifications and requirements
- Demonstrated maternity-care expertise across antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum support.
- Midwifery skills in assessment, labor management, birth assistance, and postnatal care; knowledge of childbirth procedures and guidelines.
- Experience with lactation and breastfeeding support, including patient education.
- Valid midwifery qualification and professional registration as required by UAE regulatory authorities.
- Previous hospital or clinical experience in obstetrics, women’s health, or neonatal care is highly beneficial.
- Teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills; commitment to evidence-based practice, safety, confidentiality, and culturally sensitive care.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
