Middle Office Manager
Role Overview
This is a build role to re-establish Middle Office as a single global function within Operations & Settlements.
The manager will design, staff and run the function as an operational support layer between front office and back office.
The role reports to the VP, Network Optimisation & Operations while the function is established.
The function is expected to provide reporting, trend analysis and operational risk management across awaiting balances, cancellations, exceptions, close-outs and deposit management.

The function is expected to provide reporting, trend analysis and operational risk management across awaiting balances, cancellations, exceptions, close-outs and deposit management.
Establish the function
- Design and document the target operating model, service catalogue and process standards and secure cross-functional sign-off.
- Recruit and develop EMEA and Mexico resources and align the existing APAC team to common standards.
- Define documented control boundaries with Reconciliations, Credit, Finance and Global Investigations.
- Build follow-the-sun coverage across three regions and transition in-scope activity in controlled stages.
Trade lifecycle execution
- Pre-deliver settled contracts for payment release on value date; net contracts and distribute forward and option contracts.
- Link client funds and disbursements to contracts, monitor funds held on account, and issue advance payment confirmations.
- Process trade sell-backs for returned funds and support the accurate management of client deposits.
Client account servicing
- Maintain beneficiary templates, charge codes and authorized-dealer bulk uploads with appropriate approvals.
- Administer authorized users and linked group accounts, provide online setup and resolve login issues.
- Maintain client details across DFX and HubSpot, including direct debit bank details and account inactivation.
- Review contract-linking requests for adequate information and transparency.
Requirements
- Build and lead a global Middle Office function within Operations & Settlements.
- Establish operating standards, controls and clear boundaries with related functions.
- Coordinate Middle Office resources and operating coverage across EMEA, Mexico and APAC.
- Provide reporting, trend analysis and operational risk oversight across trade lifecycle activities.
