Position Overview

A partner organization is seeking a mid-level software engineer to support the AERO team and provide FAA and public air traffic control insights to NGA customers.

The role contributes to intelligence analysis products using modern architectures and works across the software development lifecycle with engineers and mission stakeholders.

Employment and Compensation

  • The position is a direct-hire, full-time role.
  • Pay is listed as $120,000-$135,000 plus relocation assistance.

Location and Clearance

  • The role is located in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri or Springfield, Virginia.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using React.js and Python.
  • Develop RESTful services, APIs, microservices, database solutions, and AWS-based applications.
  • Translate business and mission requirements into scalable production solutions.
  • Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, technical teams, and mission stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
  • At least 4 years of enterprise software engineering or development experience.
  • Required experience includes Python, React.js, Node.js, web services, relational, spatial, and NoSQL databases, microservices, and AWS.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Spring applications and full-stack development.
  • Experience with GIS, open-source or proprietary geospatial formats, or intelligence analysis applications.
