About The Role
United International Group is seeking a skilled
Mhe Technician (Mechanical)
to join our maintenance team in Jeddah.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of material handling equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults in conveyor and automation systems.
- Conduct maintenance activities in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and restore operations efficiently.
- Carry out conveyor maintenance, including belt alignment, belt welding, bearing replacement, roller replacement, and gearbox maintenance.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and operations teams when required.
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure high equipment availability.
Requirements
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MHE, conveyor systems, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
- Hands-on experience in conveyor maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with automation and material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sortation systems and automated warehouses.
- Knowledge of barcode scanners and print-and-apply machines.
- Apprentice Training, HNC, HND, Diploma, BSc, or BEng qualification.
- Experience in logistics, distribution centers, or manufacturing environments.
