MEP QA/QC Inspector

Role overview

Inspection and quality control

• Inspect MEP installation works against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and standards.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during installation and pre-commissioning.
• Verify materials against approved submittals and project requirements.
• Witness testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor subcontractors' compliance with quality procedures and ITPs.

Documentation and coordination

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, and quality documentation.
• Raise observations and support closure of NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and assist with quality dossiers and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with construction teams, QA/QC engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Participate in site walkdowns, punch-list inspections, and quality audits.

Experience and qualifications

• 3–5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in oil and gas, EPC, industrial, MEP, or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on MEP inspection and testing experience is required; UAE or Middle East project experience is preferred.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications are advantageous.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and MEP inspection practices is required.

Skills

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documents.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, installations, and inspection methods.
• Report-writing, documentation, communication, and coordination skills; attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
