An established turnkey MEP contractor seeks an MEP Project Manager to lead project execution and delivery of major MEP works in Abu Dhabi.
The role owns project delivery, leads multidisciplinary teams, and works with stakeholders to meet project objectives and quality, safety, and performance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead MEP projects from planning and mobilisation through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems against design specifications and project requirements.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, resource plans, and procurement schedules.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers; maintain progress and resolve challenges.
- Maintain client relationships and coordinate with relevant UAE authorities.
- Monitor costs, variations, contractual obligations, and commercial performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, HSE requirements, UAE regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify risks, implement corrective measures, and drive continuous improvement.
Experience and qualifications
- 18–20 years of progressive MEP project management experience in construction or engineering.
- Knowledge of UAE, particularly Abu Dhabi, building regulations, authority approvals, and project delivery standards.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
- Experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects from inception to completion.
- Understanding of project planning, cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders; strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
