Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The posting welcomes overseas candidates.
Experience and education
- At least four years of mechanical design experience.
- UAE experience is preferred; four or more years of UAE experience is mentioned as preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Technical skills
- Strong expertise in HVAC system design and heat-load calculations using HAP.
- Proficiency in ventilation and exhaust-air calculations.
- Knowledge of fire-fighting design, including sprinklers, hose reels, and fire-pump calculations.
- Knowledge of plumbing design, including water supply, drainage, and pump sizing.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local authority regulations; proficiency in AutoCAD.
Design work
- Design mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire-fighting, and plumbing systems.
- Perform heat-load, ventilation, exhaust-air, and pump-sizing calculations.
