We are looking for a highly skilled

Mep Manager

will lead and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering activities across Imperium Group's projects.

This role is responsible for managing the MEP department, ensuring technical excellence, efficient project delivery, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

The MEP Manager will provide leadership across all MEP disciplines and work closely with architecture, interior design, structural, project management, and site teams to deliver coordinated and technically sound solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership capability and a deep understanding of the design and construction industry.

This role is critical to maintaining the quality, efficiency, and reputation of Imperium Group and its associated brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the MEP department across all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing disciplines.
  • Establish departmental objectives, standards, and performance expectations.
  • Mentor, develop, and support the professional growth of engineering team members.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure adequate resource planning and allocation to support project requirements.
  • Oversee the development and review of MEP designs to ensure technical accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensure integration and coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and interior design disciplines.
  • Review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant authority requirements, international standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout all stages of design and construction.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Resolve technical challenges and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of MEP design packages and site support activities.
  • Support smooth project handovers and close-out activities.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for all MEP deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, codes, and international engineering standards.
  • Review and approve technical documents, shop drawings, and material submissions.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure project success.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practices across the department.
  • Work closely with senior management to align engineering activities with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with architecture, interior design, structural, project management, and construction teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities when required.
  • Support business development initiatives by providing technical expertise and input during proposal and tender stages.
  • Participate in approved marketing and social media content, including short-form videos and behind-the-scenes project features.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to support content showcasing projects, design concepts, site progress, and design processes.
  • Represent the company professionally across all digital content in line with brand guidelines and corporate standards.
  • Contribute ideas that highlight design expertise, innovation, and project storytelling.
  • Plan manpower requirements and support recruitment activities for the MEP department.
  • Define KPIs and performance objectives for team members.
  • Monitor workload distribution and departmental efficiency.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the development of training plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Promote innovation and the adoption of efficient engineering solutions.
  • Drive improvements in design processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across engineering disciplines.
  • Support commercial and technical proposals, tenders, and project pursuits.
  • Provide technical input during value engineering exercises.
  • Assist in evaluating project risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure engineering solutions are aligned with project budgets and commercial objectives.
  • Support project teams in achieving successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Imperium Group professionally in all internal and external interactions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Uphold the company's values, standards, and commitment to excellence.
  • Contribute to strengthening Imperium Group's reputation within the design and construction industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering within the design and construction industry.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary MEP teams and managing department operations.
  • Strong background in high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
  • Experience working within design consultancies and design-and-build environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and manage complex projects.
  • Thorough understanding of local authority requirements and engineering standards within the UAE.
  • Proven track record of delivering technically sound and commercially viable engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of UAE authority requirements and international codes
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and engineering software.
  • Strong commercial awareness and value engineering capabilities.
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
