Role Description The MEP Manager at RAI-TECH is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of product deployment and related projects.
This role coordinates MEP requirements with internal teams and external partners to ensure that sensor systems, weather stations, and irrigation controllers are integrated safely and efficiently into customer sites.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and validating MEP designs, providing technical guidance on plumbing and electrical interfaces, supporting procurement specifications for MEP-related components, and resolving technical issues during installation or commissioning.
The MEP Manager collaborates closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to align MEP solutions with product capabilities, applicable codes, and project timelines.
Documentation of standards, participation in virtual design reviews, and continuous improvement of MEP practices are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) foundation, including experience with MEP Coordination and MEP Design for technology or infrastructure projects.
- Practical expertise in Plumbing systems relevant to equipment installation, fluid distribution, and integration with irrigation or water management solutions.
- Experience with Procurement of MEP-related materials and services, including developing technical specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and supporting cost-effective sourcing.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, standards, and best practices for MEP systems; experience in outdoor, industrial, or utility environments is an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications; comfort using digital collaboration tools in a remote setting.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and part-time workloads effectively.
- Experience with irrigation systems, controls, or related IoT/field equipment is a plus.
