MEP Inspector

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect MEP installation work at construction stages and verify it against approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations for quality and compliance; monitor site activities and identify non-conforming work.
• Review and comment on material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests when required.
• Coordinate inspections with contractors, consultants, and project teams; ensure compliance with UAE regulations and applicable standards.
• Prepare inspection reports, site observations, and non-conformance reports; follow up and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate MEP integration with architectural and structural works.
• Participate in testing and commissioning and verify systems meet project requirements.
• Maintain inspection and quality records and report progress, technical issues, and quality concerns to the supervising engineer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant MEP inspection experience in consultancy or construction projects.
• Consultancy experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, installation practices, inspection procedures, approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, authority requirements, and applicable international codes.
• Ability to interpret MEP drawings and technical documents; strong communication, coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• UAE/GCC project experience and current UAE availability are preferred.
