MEP/HVAC Draftsman

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building, residential, industrial, infrastructure, and related projects within the GCC/UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Revit, and BIM software.
• Ability to set up new Revit project files and support BIM implementation.
• Strong computer skills with extensive experience producing working drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and coordination abilities.
• Good understanding of ELV/ICT systems, including Fire & Life Safety, Telecommunications, Security, Audio-Visual, Structured Cabling, and related systems.
• Strong experience in preparing, developing, and coordinating detailed mechanical systems drawings, including:

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical design, shop, coordination, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software.
• Develop mechanical layouts, schematic diagrams, riser diagrams, equipment layouts, installation details, schedules, and coordination drawings.
• Extract 3D models for clash detection analysis, schedule reviews, and quantity surveying activities.
• Ensure all models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project specifications, BIM requirements, company standards, and quality procedures.
• Prepare engineering drawings from BIM models, including layouts, profiles, sections, and detailed arrangements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and project compliance.
• Apply company drafting standards, engineering practices, and BIM protocols throughout project execution.
• Mark up and revise drawings, maps, and sketches based on project requirements and engineering feedback.
• Prepare project cover sheets, technical documentation, and drawing submissions as required.
• Utilize specialized drafting and BIM software to retrieve, manage, and present engineering information efficiently.

• Strong understanding of mechanical building services and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, clash detection, and model-based coordination.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
