Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator and Planner to manage the estimation and planning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects.

This dual role requires expertise in cost estimation, resource planning, and project scheduling, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of MEP systems.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of complex construction projects by ensuring MEP systems are cost-effective, efficient, and well-planned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation : Review project plans and specifications to estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for MEP systems. Prepare accurate cost breakdowns and manage the bidding process.
  • Quantity Takeoffs : Perform detailed quantity takeoffs of MEP materials and labor requirements.
  • Project Scheduling : Develop and manage the project timeline for MEP installations. Coordinate tasks and resources, ensuring all work is completed on schedule.
  • Resource Management : Plan and allocate materials, labor, and equipment efficiently to meet project needs.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure coordination and alignment of MEP work with other project components.
  • Cost Control : Monitor project expenses, comparing actual costs with estimates, and recommend cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Risk Management : Identify and address potential scheduling or cost risks to prevent delays or budget overruns.
  • Reporting : Provide regular updates on the status of MEP costs, schedules, and any issues affecting project timelines or budgets.
