Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to read, write, and organize. Must be able to utilize a computer in daily work.
- Education:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree and have completed an accredited Medical Technology program. Must be an MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Previous laboratory experience is required.
- Must maintain current registry.
- B.C.L.S. (Basic Cardiac Life Support): Maintain certification, renew every two years.
- Days and Evenings 3pm-11pm
- Due to the function of the laboratory, it is necessary to staff on a 24 hour a day basis seven days a week, including holidays. Personnel working in the laboratory must be available to work various shifts to accomplish this. Laboratory personnel are required to wear appropriate protective attire as dictated by procedure and safety requirements.

- Requires occasional sitting. Frequent walking and standing are required. Occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs and carry up to 25 lbs. Eye-hand, manual, and finger dexterity are required. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires working irregular hours and under stressful conditions. Some exposure to communicable diseases, sharps, hazardous materials, and body fluids is required. Occasional bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and grasping is required. Overhead work is occasionally required. Occasional pushing and pulling of objects up to 75 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, or copiers is required.
