Job Responsibilities
- Assign accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical diagnoses, procedures, and services.
- Review patient records and clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
- Verify medical documentation for completeness and correct coding requirements.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding coding-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, insurance requirements, and coding guidelines.
- Prepare and submit claims accurately to minimize claim rejections and denials.
- Audit coded records and identify areas for improvement in documentation and billing processes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Generate coding and billing reports as required by management.
- Stay updated with coding standards, regulations, and healthcare industry changes.
Requirements
- CPC Certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience as a Medical Coder.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with medical insurance claims and reimbursement procedures.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high accuracy levels.
