Job Purpose
The Media Archive Administrator is responsible for the overall management of the Archive system.
He/she is responsible for collecting content, both video and photo content, from teams across the department and tagging and storing them within the archive system.
The Media Archive Administrator is additionally responsible for providing photos and videos from the archive to the Montage and Photo Executive and the MCR Operator(s) as needed.
Additionally, he/she is responsible for providing access to external entities, via a sharing platform, of photos and videos as required.
The role holder is expected to have strong teamwork skills and carry out his/her duties in accordance with the relevant business policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Manage the Archive, keeping it up to date with new photos and videos.
- Work collaboratively with the Media Archive Administrator and the Private Content Planning team to obtain additional content for the private channel as needed.
- Provide metrics and supporting documents to the Section Head, to support with the monthly KPI reports
Manage The Private Archive
- Ensure the archive system is kept up to date, with access provided as needed to internal departments and external entities
- Assess, design and develop platform and grant access to entities for photos from previous year
- Maintain content in the Private Archive
- Receive, tag and organize photos and videos, including tags to identify used vs unused content, specific frames within videos that are noteworthy for future uses and descriptions of the content
- Coordinate with Media Center to provide selected unpublished photos to be archived in the asset bank
- Work collaboratively with Photographers, Videographers and the Montage and Photo Executive from the Media Center team to obtain both raw and edited photos and videos for storage within the Archive system
- Support the Montage and Photo Executive with content for videos and photo montages as needed
- Support the MCR Operator with content for the Private Channel as needed.
Functional Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Leadership And Supervisory
- A minimum of 3 years working in a team
Education And Qualification Required
- Bachelor’s degree in library science, information science, archival studies or similar
Key Performance Indicators
- Content growth in archive system (%)
- Successful tagging for retrieval of content across the archive system (%)
- Successful sharing of archived content with external entities (%)
