Mechanical Technicians
to support offshore operations in Qatar as part of an
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)
campaign within
LNG facilities
.
The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and support during installation and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Inspect, maintain, and repair rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines)
- Maintain static equipment including valves, piping systems, and pressure vessels
- Support installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities in LNG environments
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure minimal downtime
- Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and vendor documentation
- Ensure compliance with offshore HSE standards and permit-to-work systems
- Maintain detailed maintenance and inspection records
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of offshore oil & gas experience, preferably in
- EPC LNG projects
- Strong experience with rotating and static equipment in LNG or gas processing facilities
- Exposure to commissioning or campaign activities
- Familiarity with offshore safety standards and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in LNG facilities (liquefaction, regasification, or gas processing)
- Offshore certifications (BOSIET, H2S, etc.)
- Experience in brownfield or shutdown campaigns
