Mechanical Equipment Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Equipment Supervisor to join our EPC project teams in the oil and gas sector.
The candidate will be responsible for supervising the installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities of static and rotating mechanical equipment, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and HSE requirements.

Your Role
As a
Mechanical Equipment Supervisor
you will:
Static Equipment
- Supervise installation of static equipment including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and drums
- Ensure correct levelling, alignment, grouting, and bolting
- Verify installation in accordance with approved drawings, vendor manuals, and procedures
Rotating Equipment
- Supervise installation of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and associated auxiliaries
- Ensure proper alignment (initial and final), soft foot checks, and coupling installation
- Conduct and verify alignment re-checks prior to commissioning
Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Support
- Supervise and witness flushing activities (oil, water, chemical flushing)
- Manage and verify air blowing and steam blowing operations
- Oversee drying, leak testing, and system cleanliness verification
- Supervise lube oil flushing and ensure system readiness for operation
- Support solo runs, mechanical run tests, and trial runs
- Coordinate with commissioning, process, QA/QC, and HSE teams
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all activities are executed in full compliance with HSE requirements
- Participate in inspections, punch listing, and system handover activities
- Report progress, issues, and corrective actions to the Mechanical Lead / Construction Manager
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in EPC oil and gas projects
- Strong hands-on experience with static and rotating equipment installation
- Proven involvement in pre-commissioning and commissioning stages
- Experience on large-scale EPC projects
Education / Training / Certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Skills/Competencies
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and vendor documentation
- Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills
