Full-time, on-site Mechanical Project Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE.
The role coordinates and oversees mechanical engineering work for building projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, review, supervise installation, and test mechanical systems; prepare and review mechanical designs and drawings.
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines and ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Manage project timelines and resources, monitor contractors, conduct site inspections, and address construction issues.
- Support MEP integration, attend client and consultant meetings, and contribute to value engineering and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering and Project Engineering foundation, with experience in building services or construction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical drawings and layouts.
- Project management skills in planning, scheduling, coordination, and progress reporting; practical MEP systems knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; relevant professional certifications or memberships are an advantage.
- UAE or GCC residential, commercial, or medical project experience and familiarity with local codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings, guide site teams and contractors, collaborate effectively, and meet on-site deadlines.
