Full-time, on-site Authority Approval Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
The role manages authority submissions, permits, regulatory coordination, and approval tracking for project teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit drawings, documents, and technical reports for authority approvals and permits.
- Coordinate with design and supervision teams and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Follow up on applications, resolve comments, and secure timely approvals.
- Liaise with government entities, utilities, municipalities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate submission and approval records.
- Advise project teams on permitting requirements and procedural updates.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements, permitting processes, and local building regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Experience coordinating with government authorities, municipalities, and utility providers.
- Relevant engineering or architecture degree, such as civil or architectural engineering.
- Professional certification in the UAE is an advantage.
- Previous UAE consultancy or construction experience, especially in Abu Dhabi, is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
