Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Green Bay Broadway facility.In this hands-on industrial maintenance role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with mechanical manufacturing equipment and systems including pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment, and other mill equipment. You’ll work safely to troubleshoot equipment, identify failures, make quality repairs, and help improve equipment reliability and predictable performance.Shift: 2-2-3, 12-hour swing shift with a $7/hour shift premium.The 2-2-3 rotation includes scheduled weekends and holidays. Check out this video to see for yourself: Come Inside a GP Paper Mill | Georgia-Pacific.What You Will DoTroubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical manufacturing equipment to support reliable operationInspect equipment, diagnose mechanical failures, and identify appropriate repairsRead and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications to support troubleshooting and maintenancePerform preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenanceFollow plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while supporting the vision of creating an environment where no one can ever get hurtCommunicate maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and reliability needs with team members and other stakeholdersSupport continuous improvement and equipment reliability across the millWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)One or more of the following:Three or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environmentTechnical degree in mechanical or industrial maintenanceWhat Will Put You AheadTwo-year technical degree in mechanical or industrial maintenanceExperience troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, or rotating equipmentWelding or fabrication experienceExperience with industrial equipment alignment, installation, or rebuildsMechanical maintenance experience in the paper industryAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
