Candidzone seeks an experienced Mechanical Inspector for a building project in Qatar.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience inspecting mechanical systems in building projects.
- GCC experience with consultancy firms is required.
- Hospitality and similar building-project experience is highly preferred.
- A valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical installations against approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Monitor HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
- Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of mechanical works.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate site documentation.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
